About Susanna Ahrens veterinarian
At Minnesota Veterinary Hospital in Shoreview, Susanna Ahrens, DVM, works alongside two other veterinarians to offer top-quality animal care. Susanna Ahrens previously spent nearly a decade as the Medical Director of the full-service facility; today, she focuses on dermatology, dentistry, and internal medicine. She has also worked as an Associate Veterinarian, providing general medical and surgical care as part of a two-doctor practice at Burnhaven Veterinary Hospital in Burnsville, Minnesota.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Susanna Ahrens earned her BA in Zoology in 1987. She subsequently enrolled at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota, from which she received her DVM in 1994. Most recently, she completed training in Small Animal Veterinary Acupuncture at the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine. A member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association, the veterinarian is also a member of the University of Minnesota Veterinary Preceptorship Program. Additionally, she volunteers with the Animal Humane Society, All Dog Rescue, and A Rotta Love Plus.
